3rd - 6th of May 2018, Skåne Hemslöjdsförbund (The Handicrafts Association of Scania) is hosting the International Feltmakers Association´s AGM & international felting conference in Landskrona. The conference’s focus is to look at local resources and handicrafts, such as the different varieties of Swedish wool and local Skåne wool embroidery.
During the conference, you will spend a day felting with Swedish wool or discovering local embroidery techniques. The conference will also include presentations to expand your knowledge. Another day will take you on an excursion to Båstad. There, we will visit two weaving studios: the luxury carpet studio of Märta Måås-Fjetterström and Linneväveriet i Båstad, a small family-owned weaving company that weave home textiles in linen. On the way back, we will stop at Bodils Bod to see her Gotland sheep and traditional handcrafts.
The conference fee includes three lunches, three dinners and a sandwich before leaving Sunday. It does also include one excursion with entrance fees, one workshop and four lectures. It does not include accommodation.
