Development for Nose Work instructors with a focus on "Challenges in Nose Work"
This course is aimed at those who want to use Nose Work as a tool in training dogs with "challenges". Also to get more gear for the Nose Work course that got stuck.
The idea of the founders of Nose Work was to help dogs in dog shelters in the United States build their confidence so that they could be adopted into a new home. It was a successful "recipe" so now it has become a fantastic activation and competition form around the world. The dog gets to use its natural sense, the sense of smell. They get to solve "problems" and get a fun activity together with their human.
Using Nose Work as a "recipe" for "problem dogs" I have a lot of experience with myself.
Occasion 1. We mix theory with practical exercises. During the day we go through different "problems" how to solve it in the best way, we have theory about fears, stress, aggression, waste of resources, rewards, motivation. and more as well as problem-solving exercises.
After completing the course, the participant will have gained in-depth knowledge of:
· Stressed/Scared/Aggressive Dogs in NW
· What applies at competitions for these dogs
· Make the unmotivated dog want to search
· Problem solving, environmental challenges
· Motivation
· Rewards
· Behavioural science
· Search exercises/technique/ladder plan
Target group: The course is aimed at you who are an instructor/teacher in Nose Work and want to develop yourself in Nose Work.
Own dog: Let me know if you want to bring your dog along1. We will train different hides so feel free to write your dog's characteristics.
