"Do As I Do!" - "Do as I do!" We can also call this "Mimic Monkey"🐵A training method developed by ethologist Claudia Fugazza is based on the dogs' natural social skills, especially their imitating ability. For the dog, it is natural to study and imitate a behavior, they have done so throughout history, although the concept of training dogs in this way is relatively new. Do as I do is very fun and cooperative training where the dog imitates your behavior. The dog looks at you to know what to do. You will be surprised how easy it is to train new behaviors by the dog observing what you are doing and then copying your movements. The training can be used as activation, but also when the dog understands the concept, to learn new skills. It increases the interaction with the dog and gives you a new way to communicate with each other. Come and try a new and exciting way to train dogs! Prerequisites: The dog should be able to "wait-stay", and at least three more behaviors, e.g. wave, jump, spin, lie, fetch etc. The course is held outdoors as much as possible, we have illuminated and fenced training fields. If the weather is really rough, we can be indoors. Prerequisites: The dog should be able to "wait-stay" in a place such as a blanket. As well as at least three more behaviors on verbal cues e.g. wave, jump, spin, lie, fetch etc😊. The course is held indoors in our school house so your dog needs to be able to be in the same room as other dogs, they should not greet. A fun course that will lead to many laughs.
