About the event
Supported Employment (SE) has been developed to provide support for people with disabilities and other barriers to entering working life.
IPS has been developed from SE and has from the beginning been developed to suit the target group with long-term mental illness that belongs to psychiatry. Today, the model is also recommended by the National Board of Health and Welfare for people with austism, ADHD and substance abuse.
SE and IPS can look confusingly similar. This is because the work specialist in practice acts with the same approach at its core. During these days, course participants gain basic knowledge of both methods.
Course content
We go through basic approaches, values and guiding principles for the methods. The five-step model, which is primarily associated with SE but which is also in line with IPS, we go through and also connect the tools to the different steps that the methods advocate.
Coffee and lunch are included for course participants during the days.
