"Do As I Do!" - "Do As I Do!" We can also call this "Mimic Monkey"🐵A training method developed by ethologist Claudia Fugazza is based on dogs' natural social skills, especially their imitative ability. For the dog, it is natural to study and imitate a behavior, they have done so throughout the ages, even if the concept of training dogs in this way is relatively new. Do as I do is very fun and collaborative training where the dog mimics your behavior. The dog is looking at you to know what to do. You'll be surprised at how easy it is to train new behaviors by having the dog observe what you're doing and then copy your movements. The training can be used as activation, but also when the dog understands the concept, to learn new skills. It increases interaction with the dog and gives you a new way to communicate with each other. Come and try a new and exciting way to train a dog! Prerequisites: The dog should be able to "wait-stay", and at least three more behaviors, e.g. wave, jump, spin, lie, fetch etc. The course is held outdoors as much as possible, we have illuminated and fenced training fields. If the weather is really rough, we can stay indoors. For whom: For those who are curious to learn the basics of the Do-As-I-Do methodDuration of the course: The course consists of three sessions with one and a half hours per session. Prerequisites: The dog should be able to "wait-stay" in a place such as a blanket. As well as at least three more behaviors on verbal cues e.g. waving, jumping, spinning, lying down, fetching etc😊. The course is held indoors in our school house so your dog needs to be able to be in the same room as other dogs, they should not greet. A fun course that will lead to many laughs.
