About the event
Do you want to be part of performing one of the greatest works in music history?
Sveriges Körförbund offers experienced choir singers the opportunity to participate in Brahms' incredibly beautiful Ein Deutsches Requiem. The project is done in collaboration between Rimbo congregation and Sveriges Körförbund Team East and is led by Heléne Cocozza.
The work will be performed on November 15, 2026 at 4 p.m. on the Opalen Cultural Stage in Rimbo.
There is room for about 30 choir singers to register as below. The choir will consist of a total of about 90 people.
Musicians from the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and prominent soloists also participate.
Brahms' requiem is different from that of other composers, e.g. Mozart or Fauré, when he chose to direct his gaze to the bereaved who had faced grief and loss. The texts in the work are therefore different from the Latin liturgical texts.
"Such mind, die da Leid tragen"; Blessed are those who mourn, they will be comforted.
