A warm welcome to a course with the fiddlers
Per Gudmundson and Ola Bäckström!
This is the course for those who want to discover and immerse themselves in the live song playing from Dalarna. The course is aimed at those who are independent on their instrument and used to learning by ear.
For a few inspiring days, we gather at beautiful Simonsgården in Ornunga, where the meals included in the course are also served. Here there is room for both concentrated music, community and joy of playing in a peaceful environment.
The course digs deep into the rich treasure trove of songs from Österdalarna and provides in-depth study of both repertoire and the stylistic means that give the songs color, swing and character. On the course, Per and Ola teach songs from their home areas of Rättvik and Ore.

When: 6-7 Aug 2025 starting Thursday at 17.00 and ending Friday at 16.00
Price: 1200 SEK/person (to be paid via swish or cash at the start of the course)

Food included: Welcome coffee and dinner on Thursday evening. Lunch and coffee Friday
