About the event
Basic Training – Individual Placement and Support- IPS - 4 days - Digital
The training is carried out 2 + 2 days with approx. 2 weeks apart.
Course dates: 5th and 6th October, and 19th and 20th October
Target group: The course is aimed at those who, within the framework of their business, assignment and role, provide individual support into work.
Course literature included – Supported Employment Toolkit for all course participants and will be sent by mail about 1 week before the start of the course.
The course literature is also available digitally during the course.
Briefly about the content:
During the course days, participants are given practical knowledge to work according to the methodological work - IPS. We start from the 8 principles. We work through the basics of the method work and use IPS material from CEPI in Lund, designed on behalf of the National Board of Health and Welfare.
The employees also get to work with the program fidelity scale, as well as explore the manuals IPS – on which the methodology is based and what much of the evidence that supports the method work is based on.
IPS is based on eight principles:
· All clients who want to work are welcome, regardless of psychiatric diagnosis, symptoms, work experiences or substance abuse problems.
· The goal is competitive work in the open labour market.
· The job search begins as soon as a client has expressed a desire to work.
· The employment specialist works systematically to establish contact with employers and find job opportunities.
· The client's wishes and interests are the starting point in the planning and selection of suitable work.
· The intervention is not limited in time – the employment specialist continues his or her work as long as the client wants support.
· Occupational rehabilitation is integrated into the client's other clinical treatment and rehabilitation. The work specialist acts as part of the psychiatric team around the client.
· Clients receive financial guidance early in the intervention and support in taking action.
